This being an amazingly tricky subject when considering health and wellness, depending on whose professional opinion one may be consulting.
Whether this thing is merely left-over brain activity, a residual overspill,
or the central and causative element of our being, is very much
down to your point of view.
We seem to be able to get on fairly well in our daily lives regardless
of the point of view. However, when pressed, stressed, or exposed to circumstances much beyond the ordinary, the gap becomes readily,
acutely and often painfully apparent.

Western Science questions whether there could even be such a thing,
while the entire premise of Eastern belief, and for the deeper thinkers
in the West as well, is that Spirit is the absolute core and centre
of existence, and the reason for our being.
We subscribe to this point of view. The sense of wellness, of well-being, ultimately derives from harmonious relationships of the spirit to the mind
and the body.

Here is a simple rendering of the Chakras. If you believe that they exist at all, of course. The what and how of these energy centres is quite problematical to the normal medical perspective, as there are no physical organs to probe and dissect. However, this conception is one of the great classical meditation and visualisation tools, with a heritage of centuries. Their existence, and their potency when activated, will be readily apparent to one practicing any of the techniques. The interest here is in practical and perhaps more modern approaches to visualising and then activating bio and aetheric energy.
