There is an enormous amount of truly beautiful work in this area, in our own times and in the rich legacy of the past.
Could one hope to contribute something new to an art form which includes Capability Brown, Humphrey Repton and Gertrude Jekyll, to name but three?
Or John Evelyn.
It is one of the true arts of civilisation.
It is an enduring art, in every era.
Although it is a work which deals in lifetimes; of plants, of humans, something created and then needing attentive pruning if it is not simply to be reclaimed into nature.
It is therefore very fragile.
Nevertheless there is the opportunity to create a total immersion of all the senses, and to re-affirm our connection with all of nature.
